Shannon

I have always been an organized person and a logical thinker. As silly as it seems, I get a huge kick out of creating systems and plans of action to make work, households, classrooms, social groups, organizations & life run more smoothly. I get excited in the home organizing section of a store and can spend hours looking for the perfect container, planner, or wandering the home office or school supply aisles.

While attending MIZZOU, I organized social events for my sorority and helped my friends organize their planners, binders, schedules etc. While obtaining my Masters Degree, I worked for a venture capital firm in St. Louis as a customer service representative. After my organizational and planning skills were noticed by the Event Planning Coordinator in the firm I was moved to the Event and Conference Planning Department where I helped organize their regional and national sales conventions.

These natural skills were tested and enhanced in my previous career as a high school social studies and special education teacher and the head cheerleading coach. Daily management of multiple subjects, 180 teenage students and 50 – 60 energetic cheerleaders taught me a tremendous amount about myself and working with others to create organizational systems that function for all parties involved. My experience and training as an educator present me with unique skills and abilities to be able to create multiple types of action plans for multiple types of learners and thinkers.

I started my own business so that I could put my natural organizational ability to work for others to help my clients create more time, space & energy for the people, activities & things that matter most to them. I want others to feel the freedom and relaxation that comes with having An Organized Life of their own.

I am a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers - NAPO, the St. Louis Chapter of the National Association Professional Organizers – NAPO-STL, The Director of Marketing for the NAPO-STL Chapter, the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization – NSGCD, The National Association of Senior Move Managers and a Certified Relocation and Transition Specialist through Senior Move Managers. The Mission of MoveSeniors™ is to provide secure, professional resources to senior clients and their adult children as they undertake the often stressful process of late life home transition.

Get Organized Life

"Shannon was very helpful in working with me to create a system to help me keep track of my upcoming school assignments, what homework I have for the night and not losing my completed homework. I am now getting mostly A's & B's in Freshman year of High School."
